The programme aims to promote the academic and professional development of the students as reflective practitioners of education who can link theory to practice through study and research and thus improve the quality of educational provision individually, institutionally and more broadly within the national education sector as their careers develop.
The objectives of the programme are for the students to:
1. Be well-informed, reflective educational practitioners with a diverse range of specialised skills.
2. Develop their research and analytical abilities to address and respond effectively to educational challenges.
3. Gain leadership skills that can be applied to the development and growth of educational institutions and that can be passed on to stakeholders.
4. Demonstrate ethical conduct and uphold professional standards in their practice.
5. Communicate effectively.
6. Engage in lifelong learning to continually refine and expand their professional expertise.
Admission Requirements
The minimum entry requirements to the Master of Education (M.Ed.) – Curriculum Design and Development programme are outlined below. Students are advised to contact the Office of Admissions to find out more about the range of equivalent international qualifications accepted.
- An accredited Bachelor’s degree.
- Students with an accredited Master’s degree will also be considered for entry.
- Recognised proof of English proficiency if the Bachelor's degree was not taught in the English language.
- Copy of valid passport or national ID.
