Unicaf University is a proud member of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), African Associations of Universities(AAU), the Southern African Regional Universities Association (SARUA) and the Advance HE.

Unicaf University is a licensed and accredited university in Malawi. It is also approved to recruit students in Kenya. Unicaf University in Malawi is accredited by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE). Unicaf University campus in Malawi is also accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC) as an Independent Higher Education Provider. 

Unicaf University in Malawi is now proudly listed in the International Association of Universities (IAU) WHED portal (World Higher Education Database). All the universities included in this portal are officially  accredited or recognised higher education institutions. The British Accreditation Council is the oldest national independent accrediting body for independent further and higher education providers in the UK and internationally, that aspire to meet international standards in higher education. BAC’s accreditation process is based on an in-depth and regular review and inspection of the institutions to ensure that standards are being maintained, and that continued accreditation is justified.

Unicaf University received accreditation by the BAC after a thorough inspection of policies, procedures, facilities and practices through peer observation, interviews with all stakeholders and critical analysis of the self- valuation documentation. Their report was considered by the BAC Council which pronounced that Unicaf University had met the rigorous standards and achieved BAC accreditation. Independent universities globally use BAC to demonstrate and prove that their academic services meet the gold standard. As a non-biased, independent body, the BAC can award accreditation with high levels of integrity and consistency. The BAC is dedicated to maintaining global educational standards by helping students to choose reputable sources that they have accredited. In collaboration with UNESCO, the portal serves as a unique online reference tool that provides authoritative information on recognised higher education institutions (HEIs) around the world, systems and credentials. Since its foundation in 1950, the IAU has been mapping the higher education landscape as one of its central tasks.
